"If I Were Not A Physicist..."

Updated: Oct 12

The above quote is from Albert Einstein. The second half of the quote is where he concludes he would be a musician. Music is in fact just a means of communication. As are all forms of art -- and even physics equations. All we are doing at any given moment is just communicating. I sing and write songs and produce music. But I'm involved politically because frankly -- how could I not be? The earth is under attack by misguided forces. This is not hyperbole. It's not an overstatement. We can see the assault on Mother Nature with our own eyes when we look at factory smokestacks spewing blackened chemicals into the air. Or when we drive down the street in Florida with our car window down and get routinely blasted in the face by diesel exhaust -- thanks to Florida abolishing 100% of it's emissions standards for all vehicles. At this moment damage being done to the earth is occurring on such a massive scale that we will not be able to correct it.

I host a podcast called Music, Animals & the Environment which started out as an autobiographical narrative and has now become a method by which people of conscience can focus attention on where it needs to be, namely the planet. On the show we discuss what has happened to Mother Earth over the last 100 years as a result of humans and how the economics of the climate issue must be understood.

The show is primarily an educational podcast.

I started an environmental group called Cub Cry. It's goal is to leverage the power of social media to bring awareness to younger generations on the environment and the animal world -- and to remind them that the planet needs us -- now more than ever.

Oh, and by the way. I'm not a physicist.
